Welcome

Olivia Fitzgerald

These days, everyone’s a critic. For better or worse, customers posting reviews online is now a fact of life for most restaurants. Whilst it’s great to hear what your diners are thinking, most of our customers would like to have the chance to respond to negative criticism offline, and convert their amateur critics into raving fans. To channel more of your diners’ feedback directly to you, we are switching on our Livebookings Barometer Guest Feedback service for all UK restaurants free of charge in September. Read on for more information on how to ensure you don’t miss out on your first report!

Peer power writes off the critics

Latest Livebookings research suggests one in three (33%) Brits trust the judgement of fellow diners, compared to 15% who put their faith in recognised reviewers. Over half (58%) of those polled also said that seeing a bad review of a restaurant online would mean they were likely to avoid it and over one in ten (12%) said they’d definitely look for somewhere else. Read on to discover ways to manage your online reviews.

Free trial of Barometer 'Guest Feedback'

To help restaurants achieve a better understanding of their customers' needs, Livebookings has introduced Barometer, a unique tool that offers restaurateurs the opportunity to find out what their guests really think about their dining experience.

Livebookings are running a free trial for Guest Feedback Barometer reports throughout September
. In addition to providing you with the results of satisfaction surveys completed by your guests from bookings made online, you will also receive short feedback and reviews written by your customers. Each week, for the next four weeks, we will email you feedback together with names and contact details should you wish to follow it up. Please ensure your report is being sent to the correct contact at your restaurant - if in doubt, contact your Account Executive at Livebookings. Look out for more details included with your latest invoice.

Marketing tip

Are you brave enough to invite food bloggers for dinner?

When choosing a place to dine, it’s no longer just professional food critics who influence diners. In this digital age, foodies are able to blog about their culinary experiences - and the public listen. With 100s and even 1000s of followers, bloggers have the potential to generate lots of exposure for your restaurant. Read more on ways your restaurant can get involved.
